Privacy Policy

1.Who we are

Ellabook Cloud Technology Limited, trading as “Abigail Swim” (abigailswim.com) and “Aquabubble”, is the data user responsible for your personal data. Registered office: Unit 9, 25/F, Clifford Centre, 778–784 Cheung Sha Wan Road, Kowloon, Hong Kong. We are committed to recognised standards of personal-data privacy and comply with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (the “PDPO”).

2.What we collect

We collect personal data through our website and sign-up forms, on WhatsApp, and in person. This may include your name, email address, home address and phone number; your child’s name, date of birth and school; your emergency contact; and the area you live.

3.How we use it

We use this information to:

• arrange and run swimming lessons and build a programme suited to your child;
• schedule classes and events, and send booking confirmations, reminders and service messages;
• handle payments, invoices, and make-up / credit vouchers;
• record short video during lessons to review and improve technique and coaching, and to make progress clips we share with you; and
• keep children safe during lessons.

Providing your data is voluntary, but without it we may be unable to provide our services.

4.Photographs and video

At sign-up we ask for separate, optional consent to take and use photographs and video of your child. If you agree, images — identified by first name only — may be used on our website, our official Facebook and Instagram, in printed and digital marketing, and in paid advertising. This is entirely voluntary, does not affect your child’s lessons, and you can withdraw it at any time by emailing [email protected]. Our full Media Release is available on request. This consent is for marketing use only — the short coaching and progress video described under “How we use it” is a separate teaching use and is not affected by your choice here.

5.Who we share it with

Your data may be shared with the swimming coaches and event organisers who work with us, and with service providers acting on our behalf (for example messaging, calendar, printing and advertising platforms). We do not sell your personal data, and we will not disclose it to any other third party unless permitted or required by law.

6.How long we keep it

We keep most personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes above — generally up to two years after your child stops attending. Financial records (invoices, payments and refunds) are kept for up to seven years, as required by Hong Kong law. We take reasonable steps to ensure data is not kept longer than necessary.

7.How we protect it

We take appropriate steps to protect personal data against loss and unauthorised access, use, modification or disclosure.

8.Your rights

Under the PDPO you may request access to and correction of your personal data, ask how it is handled, or withdraw a consent (such as photo / video use) at any time. To do so, contact us at [email protected] or WhatsApp +852 5126 8816.

9.Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a new “last updated” date. By using our services you agree to the collection and use of information in line with this policy.
